Registering your new Trailer is the first step to getting your trailer road legal. You need to get the plate before getting a warrant of fitness. The plate costs $98.55 this includes the plate and 1 years registration, registration is around $35 per year after the plate has been issued. The plate and form can be picked up from the AA or VTNZ.

Vehicle Usage: 04
Make: Tandem or Single Axle
Model: Can be size you have purchased 8x5 10x5 etc.
Vehicle Year 2020
Body Type: TD
Basic Colour: Grey or Silver
N for New
Assembly Type: 2 NZ assembled/built
Country of Origin: New Zealand or China
Licence Period: 12 months
Then you will need your Id, either NZ drivers licence, NZ Transport Customer number or NZ Business Number
The rest is the registered person or companies details.
